Help Shape the Future of Housing in Huron County

Finding safe, affordable, and quality housing is an important part of building strong communities. That's why the Huron County Economic Development Corporation (EDC), in partnership with the Huron County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (BRA), has launched the Huron County Housing Conditions and Development Readiness Study.

The purpose of this study is to better understand Huron County's current housing landscape and identify opportunities to support future residential development. As part of the process, the project team is asking residents, business owners, and seasonal visitors to share their experiences through a brief community survey.

The survey explores topics including housing availability, affordability, housing conditions, and barriers to residential development. The feedback collected will help identify local housing needs and provide valuable insight as the county plans for the future.

In addition to gathering public input, the project team will work with local elected and appointed officials throughout Huron County. Together, the study will develop actionable data and recommendations to help guide zoning updates, encourage investment, support workforce needs, and strengthen the county's long-term economic growth.

Whether you call Huron County home year-round, own a business, or visit seasonally, your perspective matters. Every response helps create a more complete picture of the community's housing challenges and opportunities.

The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete, and your input will help shape future housing strategies across Huron County.
