Workforce Training Series Offered at the Sebewaing Township Library
The Huron County EDC, GST MI Works!, and the Sebewaing Township Library are proud to offer a collaborative workforce development initiative designed to equip community members with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s job market.
This free, multi-week training series will provide participants with practical tools to enhance their job search, improve professional communication, and connect directly with employers. Sessions will be held weekly and are open to job seekers at all stages, from those entering the workforce to individuals seeking new career opportunities.
The training schedule is as follows:
May 26, 2026 – Creating an Effective Resume – Part 1
June 2, 2026 – Creating an Effective Resume – Part 2
June 9, 2026 – How to Prepare for an Interview: Answering the Hardest Questions with Confidence
June 16, 2026 – Mock Interviews
June 23, 2026 – Soft Skills and First Impressions
June 30, 2026 – Multi-Employer Job Fair
Each session will be held from 2:00 – 3:30 pm and is designed to build upon the previous one, offering a comprehensive approach to workforce readiness. Participants will gain hands-on experience, receive personalized feedback, and develop skills that can be immediately applied to their job search.
The series will culminate in a multi-employer job fair, giving participants the opportunity to connect directly with local businesses actively seeking talent.
Community members are encouraged to attend all sessions to gain the full benefit of the program, though individual sessions may also be attended as needed. The Sebewaing Township Library is located at 41 North Center Street in Sebewaing and registration is not required.
