Beaches & Camps - Sleeper State Park

The park consists of 723 acres of forest, wetlands, sandy beach and dunes on Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay, less than 5 miles east of Caseville on M-25.  Enjoy spectacular sunsets, hike 4 miles of forested trails, and enjoy the seclusion of the campground.  There are 226 modern sites, located in a heavily wooded area of oak, birch and pine.  A wide selection of lot sizes accomodates the largest RV's and smallest tents.

The campground is open from mid-April to late October.  The day use area has a half-mile sandy beach and a picnic pavilion.  Nature trails are available for walking or hiking and cross country skiing in the winter.  A state park motor vechile permit is required for entry.  Reservations may be made at www.michigan.gov/dnr or by calling 1-800-44-PARKS.
